Other planned events: Notice of ongoing 1080 fox ground baiting operation
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting ongoing ground baiting programs in this park from Thursday 1 September 2022 to Tuesday 28 February 2023.
The operation will involve the use of CPE's containing 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) for the control of wild dogs and foxes. Some red meat may also be used.
The program is designed to minimise the impact of foxes on wildlife, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs and foxes on neighbouring stock.
All baiting locations will be identified by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks and Reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected and 1080 is lethal to cats and dogs. Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
For more information, please contact the NPWS Central West area office at Bathurst on 02 6332 7640 or send an email.
