The 5-Mile (Moama precinct of the Murray Valley Regional Park) carpark will be closed while works take place for resurfacing and line marking resulting from the 2022 floods. These works will take place over a week from Monday the 14th October, 2024.

The gates at the top of the ramp leading to the carpark will be locked to limit access and allow works to safely take place. The area excluded will include the access ramp, boat ramp, main carpark and adjoining gravelled parking areas.

The rest of the Visitor area will remain open. All the toilets, the tiered picnic area and the mountain bike trails and the Riverside walk will still be available for public use although access and parking will be limited.

Safety alerts: Roads closed due to flooding in Murray Valley NP/RP

Please be advised that many roads within Millewa, Moira & Gulpa Island are currently closed due to rising flood water. These include:

  • Sections of Edward River Road
  • Fishermans Bend Road
  • Dudley's Road
  • Clay Island Road
  • Tin Hut Road
  • Quambies Road
  • Little Edwards Road
  • Glenns Road
  • Sams Road
  • Plantation Road
  • Warri Yards Road
  • Duffer Road

  • Gulpa Island campgrounds (Murray Valley National Park) - All campgrounds
