Join a Discovery ranger for a hands-on nature experience in the Snowy Mountains. Starting from Rock Flat campground, the kids will follow a trail to a local river. There’s plenty of time to stop and investigate wildlife, listen to the sounds of the bush and talk nature.
At the water, kids will become stream scientists. They’ll catch and identify aquatic bugs to learn how they support rare and endangered animals. Othe local residents of this ecosystem include platypi, native water rats and freshwater fish.
Through games and exploration, kids will understand how waterways work, why they matter and how we can help to protect them.
