Safety alerts: Gillards Beach access steps closed until further notice
The 5 southern beach access points and the day-use steps at Gillards Campground are currently closed due to severe erosion. Successive large seas have removed large amounts of sand from the beach resulting in these access points being unusable.
Park users staying in sites 1 to 28 should use the beach access steps to the north instead which is easily accessible via a short walk.
Beach access steps for sites 28 to 39 currently remain open.
