Overview

Check out a small slot canyon at this spectacular lookout located on Tomaree Coastal Walk, near Boat Harbour.

You’ll want to have your camera ready to prove that you’ve been over this impressive, elevated slot canyon in Tomaree National Park.

Less than 1 km from Ocean Parade at Boat Harbour, the lookout is perched over one of the unique geological formations of the coastline known as a ‘dyke’ or ‘slot canyon’.

When you gaze out over the ocean you might be rewarded with a glimpse of white-bellied sea eagles, dolphins, or migrating humpback whales between May and November.

The rocky coastal foreshore areas are the best places to spot threatened sooty oystercatchers, pied oystercatchers and little terns, as well as the occasional fur seal.
