Follow a passionate biologist and conservationist on this insightful expedition into the heart of Glenbrook Gorge. Starting in Glenbrook’s upper bushland, you’ll descend slowly along the scenic yet challenging Glenbrook Gorge track.
As you wander through native forest, cross rivers and pass ancient geological formations, you’ll learn about the region’s local ecosystems and evolutionary history. This includes some fascinating hands-on activities. Use binoculars to spot wildlife like dazzling blue kingfishers and solitary swamp wallabies, spy on intricate microscopic worlds with handheld field microscopes, and listen to music produced by electrical signals from plants.
Cool off with a blissful dip in a natural rockpool shaded by soaring sandstone cliffs, then end the 2km round trip at a Glenbrook café.
This tour is run in small groups of up to 10 people. Curious minds can delve into the details or simply unwind by connecting with nature.
