Kids aged 5 and over will discover amazing animals that take to the skies, then create their own colourful kite in this junior ranger workshop.
Explore the fascinating world of birds, flying foxes, sugar gliders and other winged wildlife found along the South Coast. Guided by a Discovery ranger, young explorers will learn how these incredible animals move through the landscape. Then they’ll settle in to build and decorate a kite inspired by nature.
Once complete, it's time to head outside and see their creations soar. All materials are supplied, and each child gets to take their kite home for more sky-high fun.
Afterwards, why not spend some time at nearby Killalea Beach? Known locally as The Farm, this spectacular stretch of coastline is perfect for exploring rock pools, spotting wildlife and enjoying a family day out.
