Explore the depths of Empress Canyon on an abseiling and canyoning tour with High and Wild. Operating since 1989, the experienced guides from High and Wild offer a range of small group tours throughout the spectacular and secluded areas Blue Mountains National Park.
Empress Canyon is the perfect introduction to the world of Blue Mountains slot canyons. You’ll begin this full-day adventure with an exciting series of abseils, taking in dramatic views of tall cliffs and forest-clad valleys. Start with a small 5 metre warm-up and build up to more challenging 15 to 30 metre abseils.
After a break for a gourmet packed lunch, you'll start your hike into Empress canyon. Take a leap as you enter the canyon with the first of three exhilarating water jumps. Explore the unique canyon environment with a series of short swims, hiking, wading and a natural water slide. The grand finale is an unforgettable 30 metre abseil down Empress Falls. Clip into the rope, step back, and follow the waterfall down to the deep rock pool below.
Whether it's your first time on ropes or you're a seasoned adventurer, a trip with High and Wild is the perfect balance of adrenaline, safety and connection to the Blue Mountains environment. Your guides will provide a waterproof camera for the group to capture and share images of your adventure.
