Wake up rested and refreshed after a good night's sleep in comfortable outback accommodation, then head out to Mungo National Park. It's a great place to discover fascinating World Heritage geology and history. Highlights include the sculpted rock formations of the Walls of China, and Mungo Lady and Mungo Man, buried more than 42,000 years ago.
Your days of outback fun continue with a 4WD loop driving tour of Mungo, visits to ruins at a historic outback station, and a night at Mungo Lodge where you can watch the sun set over the desert. Mungo National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.
Park entry fees:
$8 per vehicle per day. Fees are payable through self-registration envelopes outside Mungo Visitor Centre. Different fees apply for commercial tour operators and vehicles with 8 seats or more.Buy annual pass
