Cape Solander Drive into Kamay Botany Bay National Park will be closed to cars for the Sydney Sprint Triathlon on:
- Sunday 24 November 2019, 5am to 9am
- Saturday 18 January 2020, 5am to 9am
The park will remain open for walkers and cyclists. Commemoration Flat will be busier than usual as the triathlon will start and finish in this area.

A 1080 fox baiting program is underway in Towra Point Nature Reserve, finishing on Tuesday 31 March 2020.
The program is part of the NPWS FoxTap program, and is designed to control foxes to assist in recovery of little terns and pied oystercatchers.
1080 poison can affect non-target species like domestic dogs and cats. Domestic pets, including dogs, are not permitted in national parks or reserves. In the event of accidental poisoning, seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Safety alerts: Malabar Headland Rifle Range operation schedule
1. For public safety, the eastern section of Malabar Headland National Park is closed during ANZAC Rifle Range operations.
These closures may occur with little or no notice.
2. Do not enter the eastern section of the park (including Boora Point walking track) when:
- Red flags are flying above the range
- There are warning signs at the park's entry points (South Maroubra Beach and Fishermans Road carpark)
- Park entry gates are closed.
3. When is the eastern section of the park closed?
- Every Saturday
- 1st Sunday of the month
- 3rd Sunday of the month
These closures apply to the eastern section of the park only (Boora Point walking track).
The western section of the park (Western Escarpment walking track) remains open.
The range operation schedule is provided by the NSW Rifle Association.

A 1080 ground baiting and ejector program targeting foxes is underway in Eurobodalla National Park, Mimosa Rocks National Park, Bournda National Park and nature reserve, Gulaga National Park, Ben Boyd National Park and South East Forest National Park. The program is ongoing throughout the entire year. Visitors are reminded that 1080 is harmful to domestic animals. There are 1080 warning signs at entrances and exits throughout the reserve areas. Closed areas: Walking tracks upgrade
Access to walking tracks between Cape Banks and Henry Head is affected due to track upgrades:
- The link to Cape Banks walking track and Henry Head walking track is closed
- Cape Banks walking track to Cape banks Headland is open
- Henry Head walking track to Cruwee Cove Beach is open
These upgrades are almost complete, however not officially open.

Safety alerts: Audley precinct in wet weather
Access across the Audley Weir may be closed due to river flooding during times of wet weather. During wet weather, NPWS advise park visitors to visit Live Traffic NSW to ascertain the status of the Weir crossing before commencing their travel to the park. During times of closure, access to Bundeena, Maianbar residential areas, Royal National Park Visitor Centre, including the Audley Dance hall and cafe, is via McKell Ave Waterfall.
