Greenbah campground in Goobang National Park - near Dubbo, Parkes, and Peak Hill - is a lovely, peaceful campground that makes a terrific base from which to explore the park and all it has to offer.

Go cycling along the access track to the campground, or go bush walking on Burrabadine walking track and fire trails, which are nearby. Indulge in wildlife photography, or simply soak up the tranquil surrounds. Fewer people visit this campground compared to the well-known Wanda Wandong, which means you can quite often have the campground all to yourself; perfect for picnicking.

Wallabies and kangaroos are often seen in the campground during the day. Birdwatching is very rewarding as you are likely to see parrots, including the glossy black cockatoo, eastern rosella and little lorikeet, flying overhead, while kookaburras, kingfishers, thornbills, robins and treecreepers may be seen flying between the trees within the campground. When there is water in the creek, several different species of frogs can be heard calling out at night.
