Alerts for NSW National Parks

Fires and closures

Despite a slight easing in fire conditions several national parks and reserves, particularly on the south coast and Kosciuszko National Park, will remain closed until further notice due to the impact of recent fires and active fires still being managed.

For those parks that are closed this means no public access at all, including tracks, trails, campgrounds and picnic areas. This is an important safety measure to protect the public.

People planning a visit to other national parks and reserves across NSW are also urged to check for closures and fire bans before heading out as conditions can change quickly.

Please stay up-to-date with the current fire situation across NSW, by visiting the Rural Fire Service website or download the RFS Fires Near Me app.

Visitors to parks that are open are advised to avoid remote areas during the current bushfire conditions.
