The highlight of this walk is the waratah patch up on Patonga Drive. The eastern side of the road was hit by a wildfire in December 2016. After good rain, the burn site responded with resprouting waratahs and young woody pears.

From Patonga Beach we head up the escarpment along the Great North Walk, taking in the views across Broken Bay and Barrenjoey. We'll then walk up the Tony Doyle track through beautiful wildflower woodland to Warrah Trig. From the trig, we follow dirt road through heathland up to Patonga Drive. Then we'll walk back down to Pearl Beach via the Crommelin Native Arboretum.

We'll do a car shuffle between Pearl Beach and Patonga.
