Beach driving is temporarily closed between the Gan Gan entry at Anna Bay to the Lavis Lane entry at Williamtown from Monday 8 August to Friday 12 August 2022, due to recent weather conditions.

- Ganyamalbaa campground
Please remember to:
- Look out for soft sand, erosion, wash outs and drop-offs.
- Avoid driving through sea water, foam or large pools of water. Driving conditions can change rapidly. Several vehicles on this beach have ended up in the ocean or swamped by water.
- Check conditions before arriving, and if in doubt save your visit for another day.

Warrah Trig Road is closed to vehicles until further notice due to damage from recent rainfall events. The road has deep ruts and boggy sections, making it unsafe and impassable for vehicles.

Access to Pink Caves is permanently closed. Sudden large swells and tides create major waves that wash over the rocks.
Do not access this area. The severe conditions at this site have caused a number of significant injuries and deaths in the past.
Pink Caves has never been a designated visitor site due to the extreme nature of the surf and tides at this location. There is no approved public access walking track to Pink Caves.
Visitors should take caution when traversing rock shelves and coastal areas located within Munmorah State Conservation Area.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program is continuous and ongoing between 1 August 2022 and 31 January 2023 in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices.
All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

NPWS has closed Muirs lookout and picnic area effective from Monday 20 June 2022.
Factors contributing to the closure include:
- road access is not suitable for 2WD vehicles and has been damaged and eroded following heavy and ongoing rainfall
- visitor facilities, including picnic tables and toilets, are unsafe and outdated
- toilets don’t meet NPWS and health standards
- views from the lookout to the coast have diminished due to grown tall trees and vegetation.
The surrounding area, including Watagans National Park and neighbouring state forests, have alternative sites for lookouts and picnic areas.
The closest lookouts are located off Mt Faulk Road to the north and include Heaton, Hunter and Macleans lookouts.

Cessnock City Council's Watagan Road (also known as Heaton Road) is currently closed to all vehicles in the following section:
- from the cattle grid at the southern end of Heaton Road south, uphill to the second cattle grid at the Watagans National Park boundary
This is due to another major landslip and fallen trees and rocks.
There is currently no access to Olney or Heaton State Forests or Watagans National Park until the road is cleared and repaired. Roadworks that were planned to begin in May 2022 have been deferred to later this financial year.

There is no visitor access along Bangalow Road due to significant road damage and new landslides on this road and nearby Mt Faulk Road. The following areas remain closed:

The entry gate will remain locked and there will be no visitor access, including pedestrians.
NPWS is aiming to have all work completed and visitor access restored before the end of November 2022. A new major landslide on nearby Mt Faulk Road on 7 July has now cut all access for planned heavy plant repair machinery to reach the Bangalow Road landslips. Once the Mt Faulk Road landslip is repaired by Forestry Corporation, NPWS can schedule the repair of Bangalow Road landslips.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a ground baiting program in Bouddi National Park from Wednesday 6 July to Thursday 25 August 2022.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Parts of Sugarloaf State Conservation Area are closed for approved underground mining operations. The affected areas (see map) have been closed to protect visitor safety, because they're subject to subsidence and remediation activities from the mining operations.
Great North walk remains open. An update will be provided should this situation change.
If you're visiting the park, please be aware of subsidence and pollution incidents that took place in 2013, which were greater than what was expected from normal mining operations. These included a cliff fall in the north, and a subsidence and grout leak incident in the central part of Sugarloaf State Conservation Area.
If you're planning to visit the park during this time, please stay on formed tracks and trails and observe all barriers, warning signs and safety messages. Areas subject to possible cliff fall or subsidence in both areas of the park are clearly marked.
