Closed areas: Wonga walk partial closure from 7th June 2023 until June 2024
A section of the Wonga walk will be closed between the Glade and Crystal Shower Falls from 7th June 2023 until June 2024. The closure is to allow track upgrades to improve visitor safety.
Crystal Shower Falls and Tristania Falls remain open via the lower Wonga walk. This is a 7.4km return walk from the Rainforest Centre, or a 9km return walk from the Glade.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program in Deervale Nature Reserve using manufactured or meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs. The program will be conducted between 15 May to 5 June 2023.
The baiting area will be identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Aerial baiting is scheduled for 14/05/2023 to 28/05/2023
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. The Never Never picnic area shelter is closed until further notice, due to damage sustained during extended wet weather. The closure will remain in place until the shelter is assessed by an engineer.
