Crossing the Blue Mountains

This Stage 2 (years 3-4) History excursion immerses students in the History of the Mount York area. We examine the remains of the early Cox’s Road, walk in the foot-steps of explorers and First Nations people and consider how significant individuals, groups and events contributed to changes over time.

Mountain landscapes: Blue Mountains

This adventurous Stage 4 (Years 7-8) Geography excursion explores diverse landscapes and landforms of the Blue Mountains. On a bushwalk, students will gather data using geographical equipment, and complete a field sketch of an iconic Blue Mountains landscape.

Rainforests and waterfalls

This Stage 3 (Years 5-6) Geography excursion explores the diverse features and characteristics of key landscape types within the park. We examine interactions between people and the environment, and which factors influence the management of this iconic place.
