Getting there and parking

The Sandstone Caves carpark is 1km from the Yaminbah Trail intersection. This is at the start of the Sandstone Caves walking track.

Access to Sandstone Caves from Coonabarabran:

  • Travel north on the Newell Highway for 34km
  • Turn right at Yaminbah Trail intersection (signposted)

Access to Sandstone Caves from Baradine:

  • Travel east along the Number 1 Break for 39km on unsealed roads
  • Turn Right onto the Newell Highway and travel for 8.2km
  • Turn left at Yaminbah Trail intersection (signposted)

Access to Sandstone Caves from Narrabri:

  • Travel south along the Newell Highway for 8km
  • Turn left at Yaminbah Trail intersection (signposted)
