NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an aerial baiting program from Monday 13 May 2024 to Friday 24 May 2024. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program will take place in Avondale State Conservation Area, Booralong Nature Reserve, Bulagaranda Aboriginal Area, The Basin Nature Reserve, Indwarra National Park, Oxley Wild Rivers National Park & State Conservation Area, Single National Park and Warrabah National Park.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Long Swamp Rd Entry Closed - Imbota Nature Reserve
The Long Swamp Road entrance to Imbota Nature Reserve will be closed from 6th May 2024 to 31st May 2024. This area will be closed for road and drainage repairs to restore visitor access to the reserve.

Closed areas: Warrabah campgrounds and picnic areas CLOSED
Some parts of Warrabah National Park are CLOSED from Wednesday 3 April to Friday 24 May 2024 while major roadworks is taking place. Access to the Park via Manilla will be closed at the Park boundary. The closed areas are:
- Warrabah campground and picnic area
- Boundary Hole picnic area
- Gum Hole campground and picnic area
- Billys Hole picnic area
This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

- Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve
