NPWS is planning to undertake works on the western end of rockwall area at Woody Head from Monday 03 June to Monday 01 July 2024, Monday to Friday between 7am & 5pm only. (No works will occur on Monday 10 June 2024). There will be no pedestrian access to Woody Bay Beach and the western rockwall as it will be closed to the public for duration of these works. All other areas in Woody Head will be remain open for use. There will be traffic control on the Woody Head road during these time. NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Thursday 9th, May 2024 to Wednesday 9th, October 2024. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program will take place in Everlasting Swamp National Park and State Conservation Area.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs) and should be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and also must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
