Closed parks: Notice of 1080 aerial baiting operation
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an aerial baiting program in Lachlan Valley NP (Hunthawang Precinct) from Monday 22 April 2024 to Friday 3 May 2024. Hunthawang Precinct will be closed for this operation. The operation will involve the use of meat baits and meat bait products containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The program is designed to minimise the impact of foxes on wildlife and on neighbouring stock.

Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
