Dharawal State Conservation Area


Dharawal State Conservation Area was created in April 1996. It covers an area of 72ha. For detailed park and fire management documents, visit the OEH website.

This park was created in April 1996. The great majority of the state conservation area became Dharawal National Park on 26 March 2012. The remaining three small areas comprising Dharawal State Conservation Area were retained to allow existing coal mining operations to continue, and have a total area of 71 hectares.

These maps give a basic overview of park attractions and facilities, and may not be detailed enough for some activities. We recommend that you buy a topographic map before you go exploring.
