Inner Pocket Nature Reserve

Open, check current alerts

Overview

Inner Pocket Nature Reserve was created in June 1989. It covers an area of 236ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.

Access

Inner Pocket Nature Reserve is landlocked by private property and general visitors are not permitted. There are no walking tracks or visitor facilities in the reserve. The reserve is set aside primarily for the conservation of nature.

All access to the reserve is via Middle Pocket Road, Inner Pocket Trail, and Skyline Road which requires NPWS and/or multiple private landholder written permission.

For these reasons, and due to the number of threatened species in the reserve NPWS only gives permission for scientific research or conservation purposes such as bush regeneration activities.

Prohibited

Pets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted. Find out which regional parks allow dog walking and see the pets in parks policy for more information.
