Overview

Ingalba Nature Reserve was created in July 1970. It covers an area of 4012ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.

Ingalba Nature Reserve supports a variety of plant communities including mugga iron bark-black cypress communities on gravelly and rocky areas grading to grey box and white cypress on slightly better soils. Ridge tops have thickets of dwarf she-oak casuarina.

The reserve is managed to conserve these habitats, which requires minimisation of disturbance by public access, feral animal control and maintenance of a perimeter fire break. The reserve is currently used for scientific research.
