Gwydir Wetlands State Conservation Area

Overview

Gwydir Wetlands State Conservation Area was created in February 2011. It covers an area of 9712.78ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.

The Gwydir wetlands are an example of a terminal delta wetland, one of the few inland wetlands remaining in the Murray-Darling Basin. 

Bunnor bird hide and Waterbird Lagoon are open to visitors for a limited time each year between Spring and Autumn.
