Closed parks: Mount Canobolas State Conservation Area closure to vehicles

Cabonne Council will close the roads to the summit of Mount Canobolas at 3pm, Thursday 8 August 2019 because of predicted snowfall. The council will inspect the roads on Friday 9 August 2019. If snowfall continues, the roads will be closed for the weekend, Saturday 10 August to Sunday 11 August 2019. 

Roads in the park may be closed for up to 2 weeks after a significant snowfall event. Visitors who want to walk can still access the park but will need suitable clothing for the conditions.

This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, please contact Orange Visitor Information Centre on 1800 069 466.

Hopetoun Falls walking track is currently closed. No date has been set for reopening the track.

All other walking tracks and areas in the state conservation area are open to the public. Temporary directional signage is in place on some walking tracks.
