You’ll start this 30-minute session meeting local NPWS rangers and paying respect to Country. Then, you’ll get an up-close look at 6 endangered southern corroboree frogs. These yellow-and-black-striped amphibians are found only in the sphagnum bogs of Kosciuszko National Park.

The vibrant 15-year-old frogs are part of Taronga Zoo’s successful conservation breeding program. On Wednesdays, you can watch them enjoy their weekly cricket nymph feed in their special habitat at the visitor centre.

Next, step into the gallery for a fascinating look at traditional Aboriginal artifacts. Explore the uses and cultural stories of boomerangs, spears, fish traps, tools, weapons, coolamons, shields and stunning artworks.

The session ends with a hands-on activity creating your own corroboree frog origami or artwork to take home.
