This hands-on kids’ tour encourages children to learn about nature through play and creativity. Meet your friendly discovery ranger at Warrumbungle Visitor Centre then set off to explore different parts of Warrumbungle National Park on each tour.

The adventure begins with a short and engaging bushwalk. Children will explore the sights and sounds of the bush while playing interactive games about native plants, animals and habitats. Budding rangers will search for animal tracks, listen for bird calls and discover how living things are connected in this unique environment.

The walk is followed by a guided craft activity, where children can create their own nature-inspired keepsake to take home. Using simple materials and plenty of imagination, the craft session reinforces what they’ve learned during the walk and gives kids a chance to express their creativity in a relaxed, supportive setting.

Curious kids are encouraged to ask questions, work as a team and develop a sense of care and respect for the natural world. It’s a wonderful way for children to build confidence outdoors, make new friends and feel like a real junior ranger for the day.
