Fires and closures
For 18 January 2020:
Despite a slight easing in fire conditions several national parks and reserves, particularly on the south coast and Kosciuszko National Park, will remain closed until further notice due to the impact of recent fires and active fires still being managed.
For closed parks this means no public access at all, including tracks, trails, campgrounds and picnic areas. This is an important safety measure to protect the public.
If you are planning to visit other national parks and reserves please check for closures and fire bans before heading out as conditions can change quickly. Stay up-to-date with the current fire situation across NSW, using the Rural Fire Service website or the RFS Fires Near Me app.
