They've been connected to country and their traditional practices and customs. Your guide will introduce you to this rich cultural heritage.
The high mountain plains of Kosciuszko National Park also have a strong gold mining, cattle grazing and conservation heritage. You'll explore sites that tell of the arrival of Europeans and cattle grazing. You'll find out about the history of gold fever in this area. It made some people rich and others poor, and the good, the bad and the ugly flocked to the high plains. It was a wild time in the mountains.
