Gather around the campfire for a special 40th anniversary event at Washpool National Park. Learn about the area’s history and join a NPWS Ranger on a night walk.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Washpool National Park during this special evening event. Join an experienced NPWS Ranger around the campfire and learn about the history, culture and protection of the park.

You’ll then have the option to journey into the dark for a guided night walk. Keep an eye out for glow worms, bioluminescent fungi and nocturnal animals.

Bring your camping chair and a cup for the campfire yarn and a torch and binoculars for the night walk. We’ll provide boiled water, coffee, tea, milo, sugar and milk.

  • Washpool National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

  • Park entry fees:

    $8 per vehicle per day applies only at attractions in the Glen Innes area. The park uses a self-registration fee collection system. Please bring the correct change and display your receipt.
