When you volunteer, you’ll help protect the catchment of Valley of the Waters Creek and Wentworth Falls. You'll also enjoy the fresh air and stunning views over the valley and beyond as you work.

You’ll be restoring a Blue Mountains National Park upland swamp (an endangered ecological community). The swamp is potential habitat for 2 threatened animal species: the giant dragonfly and the Blue Mountains water skink. You'll learn about its unique aspects and the values of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. You’ll also protect several threatened plant species by treating high priority invasive weeds.

Come along and meet new people from the local community. No specific skills or experience are necessary. You'll be trained and supervised throughout. A passion for the native plants and wildlife of the Blue Mountains and a willingness to get in amongst the weeds are all you need.

Morning tea is provided, as well as all tools and equipment. Bring a day pack, personal first aid kit, gum boots if working in the creek and a thermos (tea/coffee).
