We will use our senses to explore the environment and find some places where animals have everything they need to survive. Students will work scientifically with hands on activities to investigate bugs and learn about animal habitats.

Students will immerse themselves through nature play and discovery to enrich their understanding of the diversity and relationships that thrive within our protected areas.

Objectives
  • Students engage with the local environment of a protected conservation area. They become aware of the plants and animals that exist in this particular place and how they are able to survive there. 
  • Students examine some of the local plants and discuss how the animals that live with them have features that allow them to thrive in the environment. 
  • Students learn about the role played by NSW NPWS staff in protecting the environment for the people of NSW.

Medium. Guided walk along a partly sealed wheelchair friendly walking path. Activities amongst leaf litter and on a flat rock shelf beside a small stream.
Price

$240 per group (includes GST) for 2 hours. Longer tours are available. Maximum 30 students per group. For groups over 30 conditions apply.
