There are a number of volunteer opportunities available to get involved in the monitoring and restoration of threatened species habitat in NSW national parks. You'll contribute to the protection and conservation of some of the most iconic native Australian animals and plants.
Volunteer and make a real difference to the future of a number of native threatened species including the koala, shorebirds, and brush-tailed rock-wallaby. By getting involved, you’ll be joining like-minded volunteers and dedicated rangers. You'll take part in activities such as:
- Surveying
- Wildlife census
- Site management
- Collection
- Monitoring
- Weeding
- Erosion control
- Revegetation
Our volunteer program including Saving our Species and Citizen Science initiatives often involve a collaboration between NSW National Parks and other organisations such as Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife, Conservation Volunteers Australia, Greening Australia and Landcare.
