NPWS are conducting a 1080 wild dog management program.  All baited areas are signposted with the baiting dates and an indication of the baiting method. Dogs are highly susceptible to 1080 poisoning. The NPWS are conducting a 1080 wild dog management program in Mallanganee NP.  All baited areas are sign posted with the baiting dogs and an indication of baiting method.  Dogs are highly susceptible to 1080 poisoning and dog owners are reminded that dogs are not permitted in National Parks at any time.

Cambridge Plateau Scenic Drive is closed for maintenance roadworks from Tuesday 29 August 2017. Peacock Creek campground remains open and can be accessed from either Sextonville Road or Peacock Creek Road.

Closed areas: Tweed Range scenic drive closure update

Tweed Range scenic drive is open from Sheepstation Creek to Bar Mountain. Access to Tweed Range scenic drive is only via Lynches Creek Road from Wiangaree. There is currently no access from the Barkers Vale entrance. All roads, walking tracks and lookouts within the park are open. Other planned events: Shorebird protection program - shorebird monitoring and fox and wild dog pest control program

As part of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan, the North Coast branch of NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will begin a 1080 fox-baiting and ejector program on Monday 3 July 2017. This will affect all neighbours and visitors to Richmond River Nature Reserve, Broadwater National Park and Bundjalung National Park.

Baits and ejectors will be used until Friday 15 December 2017. Where wild dogs are detected during these programs, they will also be controlled. Signs will be located at entrances to reserves where baits for foxes and wild dogs have been laid.

These programs are priority initiatives of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan, to protect breeding threatened shorebirds. 

Dogs are not permitted in national parks or nature reserves. Please be aware of these control programs, and keep domestic pets to designated pet exercise areas and avoid bait stations and/or ejectors at all times.

Peates Mountain Road is closed at Rummery Park campground. There is no vehicle access to Gibbergunyah Range Road via Peates Mountain Road.
