Peates Mountain Road is closed at Rummery Park campground. There is no vehicle access to Gibbergunyah Range Road via Peates Mountain Road. To allow a dog into the national park during the baiting program could endanger its life.

Tweed Range scenic drive is open from Sheepstation Creek to Bar Mountain. Access to Tweed Range scenic drive is only via Lynches Creek Road from Wiangaree. There is currently no access from the Barkers Vale entrance. All roads, walking tracks and lookouts within the park are open. Safety alerts: Ilmenite stockpile removal and site rehabilitation

Visitors to Black Rocks campground should expect to encounter large trucks on The Gap Road. This is part of a major project to remove a sand mining tailings stockpile from the park and restore the area to a natural ecosystem. Park visitors are asked to slow down and exercise caution while driving along The Gap Road. No works associated with this project will be undertaken on weekends, public holidays or NSW school holidays. The truck movements are expected to continue until June 2020. Other planned events: Shorebird protection program - shorebird monitoring and fox and wild dog pest control program

As part of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan, the North Coast branch of NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will begin a 1080 fox-baiting and ejector program on Monday 3 July 2017. This will affect all neighbours and visitors to Richmond River Nature Reserve, Broadwater National Park and Bundjalung National Park.

Baits and ejectors will be used until Friday 15 December 2017. Where wild dogs are detected during these programs, they will also be controlled. Signs will be located at entrances to reserves where baits for foxes and wild dogs have been laid.

These programs are priority initiatives of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan, to protect breeding threatened shorebirds. 

Dogs are not permitted in national parks or nature reserves. Please be aware of these control programs, and keep domestic pets to designated pet exercise areas and avoid bait stations and/or ejectors at all times.

Other planned events: Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve (north) fox baiting program

National Parks and Wildlife Service are conducting 1080 fox baiting program in Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve (north)  from Tuesday 4 July to Friday 15 July 2017. Baits and pest ejectors will be laid to control foxes and wild dogs. Fox control and any detection of wild dogs may continue at some sites until Friday 23 February 2018 to allow for the completion of shorebird breeding. 

Signs will be located at entrances to reserves where baits for foxes and wild dogs have been laid. These programs are priority initiatives of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan for the protection of breeding threatened shorebirds. Dogs are not permitted in national parks or nature reserves. All visitors and owners should be aware and keep their domestic animals to designated areas and avoid bait stations/ejectors at all times. Partial closure. No 4WD beach access from Black Rocks campground. Due to significant storm damage, the 4WD beach access at Black Rocks campground is closed. Vehicles may still drive along Ten Mile Beach north from the Shark Bay 4WD beach access, but cannot exit at Black Rocks.There are no other beach access points on Ten Mile Beach other than Shark Bay 4WD beach access. No 4WD access north of Black Rocks campground.
