Lachlan Valley Nature Reserve
Overview
Lachlan Valley Nature Reserve was created in July 2010. It covers an area of 437ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.
This reserve was created in July 2010 from the former Goonawarra Nature Reserve. This reserve includes floodplains with River Red Gum forests, Black Box woodlands and closed shrublands of river cooba and lignum. The reserve is managed to conserve this representative sample of riverine woodlands, which requires minimal visitation and no active habitat manipulation.
These maps give a basic overview of park attractions and facilities, and may not be detailed enough for some activities. We recommend that you buy a topographic map before you go exploring.
