Chatsworth Hill State Conservation Area

There are no visitor facilities in the Chatsworth Hill State Conservation Area. Access to the reserve is through private property and approval is required from the Clarence North Area Office.

The reserve covers 510 hectares and was gazetted in January 2003 over land that was formerly part of Gibberagee State Forest. It's located on the south-eastern extension of the Richmond Range, with only a small area located on the floodplain.

It is located west of the Pacific Highway approximately 50 km north-east of Grafton and inland from Yamba.

The planning area is part of a regionally important network of protected areas. Together with Giberagee State Forest and forested private lands, the reserves form part of a forested corridor linking Bundjalung National Park to the east to the protected areas of the Richmond Range to the west.

Surrounding land uses include cattle grazing, forestry, sugar cane production and quarrying.
