Friends of the brush-tailed rock-wallaby

It isn’t very hard to find your soft spot for the shy and beautiful brush-tailed rock-wallaby, currently one of Australia’s threatened species. NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and Friends of the brush-tailed rock-wallaby, based in the Shoalhaven area, invite you to help save this native Australian animal from extinction.

Fees apply. Free park entry.

Shorebird recovery program: South coast

The pied oystercatcher, little tern and hooded plover are among NSW’s endangered shorebirds and they need your help. Volunteer for the South Coast shorebird recovery program and take part in bird watching, locating nests and chicks, surveying beaches for shorebirds, installing nest protection and monitoring nest progress.

Free. Free park entry.

From August to April (shorebird breeding season).
