NPWS will be conducting a 1080 baiting program from 11 October 2017 to 10 November 2017 for wild dogs. The 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) baits will be buried in various locations across Colymea State Conservation Area, Parma Creek Nature Reserve and Jerrawangala National Park. Visitors are advised not to touch the baits. Please be aware that domestic pets could be affected as 1080 poison is lethal to dogs and cats. Pet owners and landowners must ensure their pets and working dogs do not enter baited reserves. NSW National Parks is conducting a 1080 fox baiting program in Jervis Bay National Park from Saturday 16 September 2017 until Saturday 23 December 2017. The program will be conducted on Warrain Beach, along Currarong Road and Currarong Beach. The program involves the laying of 1080 poison baits and M44 ejectors. All properties being baited are sign-posted with baiting dates and an indication of the baiting method. Bait stations will be located at least the required minimum distance of 150m away from residential areas (700m south of Culburra Beach township). 1080 is lethal to domestic pets. To ensure the safety of the public and to maximise the effect of the control program, park visitors are asked not to disturb the bait stations. NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is undertaking a 1080 fox control program in Woollamia Nature Reserve from Monday 28 August until Friday 17 November 2017.

The program involves laying of 1080 baits and M44 ejectors. All properties being baited are sign-posted with baiting dates and baiting method. Bait stations will be located at least the required minimum distance of 150m away from residential areas.

1080 is lethal to domestic pets. To ensure the safety of the public and to maximise the effect of the control, park visitors are asked not to disturb the bait stations.

Little Forest walking track is closed due to maintenance. This closure will remain in place unless otherwise extended or removed. Closed areas: Access to base of Belmore Falls prohibited

The access is closed from Hindmarsh and Belmore Falls lookout and picnic area down to the base of the Belmore falls due to safety risks. Access is also closed from the causeway to the top of the falls. These access points are prohibited to visitors and penalties apply for non-compliance. NSW National Parks are conducting a 1080 fox and wild dog baiting program in the Kangaroo Valley, Budgong and Illaroo areas for the protection of the Endangered brush-tailed rock-wallaby. The baiting is conducted on various private properties, council reserves, NPWS estate, Water NSW estate and vacant Crown land. All properties with 1080 baiting under this program are permanently baited throughout the year. These properties will have poison on them from today through to 31 December 2017. The baiting will be conducted using both 1080 buried baits and 1080 (above ground) ejector devices at the bait station locations. Do not touch any bait or ejector devices. All properties being baited are sign posted with the baiting dates and an indication of which baiting methods are being used on each property. Dog owners are reminded to ensure their dogs do not wander as dogs are highly susceptible to 1080 poisoning. A map indicating the approximate location of each bait station is being hosted on the Friends of the Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby website.
