Drop into this free event at Blue Mountains Heritage Centre for a sneak peek of a new virtual reality canyoning experience.

You’ll meet Luke Farrer and Michael Breer who spent 6 weeks filming in Claustral Canyon, Blue Mountains, to create this incredible virtual reality (VR) experience for NSW National Parks. Find out how they collected the footage for this remarkable project and hear about their plans to create virtual reality experiences for World Heritage sites around the world.

The event is part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for Blue Mountains Heritage Centre in Blackheath. The official opening of the completed centre will be on World Environment Day; 5 June 2017.

  • Blue Mountains National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger. Some parts of the park close overnight; details are provided for specific attractions.

  • Park entry fees:

    $8 per vehicle per day applies only at attractions in the Glenbrook area.
