Built in 1945, Maitland Bay Information Centre commenced its life as a family home. These days, it's the charming Maitland Bay Information Centre. NSW National Parks welcomes new staff for volunteer work at the centre on weekends and public holidays.
The role of volunteers is to:
- Provide maps and brochures
- Direct visitors to the displays
- Discuss the centre, park and surrounds.
- Answer questions
If you’re a good communicator with plenty of energy for interacting with the public, have an interest in the natural environment, and good general knowledge of the NSW Central Coast, please contact us for more information about this great volunteering opportunity. Training and support are provided.
Volunteer for bushfire recovery
Following this season's unprecedented bushfires, you can register your interest to help the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and the Saving our Species program rehabilitate and protect our threatened animals and plants.
Saving Our Species program
Australia is home to more than 500,000 animal and plant species, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. Saving our Species is a statewide conservation program that addresses the growing number of Australian animals and Australian native plants facing extinction.

Bouddi National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

Park entry fees:
$8 per vehicle per day. The park has pay machines that accept both card and coins, or you can pay via the Park'nPay app.
