On entering Murramarang National Park take Mount Agony Road at East Lynne from the Princes Highway and follow it all the way to Pebbly Beach.

Parking is available in a bitumen carpark at the picnic area.

There are lots of great things waiting for you in Murramarang National Park. Here are some of the highlights.

Spring

Spring is a great time to dust off your hiking boots and take to the park's tracks. Try the Pretty Beach to Durras Mountain walk for spectacular views of the coast and ranges.

Summer

There's no better time to head down the coast and catch some sunshine. With crystal clear waters for swimming and snorkelling, a beach camping trip is the ideal way to enjoy the Aussie summer.

Winter

Birdwatching opportunities abound at this time of year, see if you can catch the courting displays of lyrebirds in the park's rainforest areas.

There are accessible and ambulant toilets at the picnic area with a micro flush system. You can reach the toilets along the paved pathway that runs through the picnic area.

The picnic area is flat and step-free. There's a 1.2m-wide paved pathway that leads past 1 of the picnic shelters, the toilets and on to a timber viewing platform that overlooks the beach.

To reach other parts of the picnic area, you'll need to cross over flat grass.

Seats and resting points

There are some benches along the paved path as you walk towards the beach. There are also bench seats in the northern part of nearby Pebbly Beach campground.

Disability access level - easy

Pebbly Beach picnic area is flat and step-free, with the following accessible facilities:

• There's a 1.2m-wide paved pathway that's suitable for wheelchairs, which leads to one of the picnic shelters, the toilets and to a timber viewing platform
• There are accessible and ambulant toilets
• There's an accessible cold shower near the carpark
• The picnic tables are accessible
• There are bench seats where you can rest along the paved pathway to the beach

Some of the facilities are not located along the paved pathway that runs through the picnic area. You'll need to cross over flat grass to reach these facilities.
