We'll explore some of Sydney's best-known landmarks during this 7-hour walk in Berowra Valley National Park.

Highlights include:

  • Our journey will take us to various vantage points around the rim and upper sections of Galston Gorge.
  • Throughout the day the undulating track passes through a range of habitats and microclimates.
  • We'll take a break at the historic 'Steele Bridge', installed in the late 60s to allow bushfire trucks to cross the creek.
  • Next, we'll follow the creek as it descends toward the valley floor.
  • Finally, we climb to the top of the ridge where the track emerges at Hornsby Heights. A bus takes us back to our starting point at Hornsby Station so remember to bring your Opal card.

Bring at least 2 litres of drinking water, lunch and snacks. It's a good idea to wear enclosed shoes and bring a hat, rain gear, sunscreen, insect protection and emergency contact information. We'll be using public transport for one section, so don't forget your Opal card.
