It doesn’t get much better than this. Pack the hamper and enjoy a long, leisurely barbecue lunch with friends and family in the beautiful surrounds of Munmorah State Conservation Area.

Spread your picnic blanket by the shore or set up at one of the picnic tables on the grassy expanse and take in the tranquil views over the sparkling sand and calm blue waters of Elizabeth Bay. It’s a great place for a swim on a hot day.

If you’re keen to get out on the water, you can launch your boat from the ramp here too – be sure to pack the fishing gear.

    Munmorah State Conservation Area is open 5.30am–9pm, from the start of the NSW school holiday period in September (Friday) until 1 May.

    Autumn/winter open hours

    Munmorah State Conservation Area is open 5.30am–7pm, from 1 May until the day before the start of the NSW September school holidays (Friday).

  • Park entry fees:

    $8 per vehicle per day. The park has pay machines that accept both card and coins, or you can pay via the Park’nPay app.
