Sensing the rainforest

Sensing the rainforest is a Stage 2 (Years 3-4) school excursion in Dorrigo National Park, focusing on HSIE. Learn about the plants and animals that live here, the roles of national park workers and the rules that help protect this World Heritage Area.

Come explore a rare remnant of rainforest that once covered the Illawarra region on this Stage 2 (Years 3-4) excursion focused on HSIE at Minnamurra Rainforest in Budderoo National Park. Investigate the ways in which people interact with this special environment, and understand why this land is a national park and why we care need to for it.

Aboriginal cultural experience: Jibbon Beach

Aboriginal cultural experience is a school excursion in Royal National Park for Stage 2 (Years 3-4) students focusing on HSIE. You'll walk along Jibbon Beach and visit the rock engravings with an Aboriginal Discovery ranger. Discover the significance of the plants, animals, landscape and special sites of Australia's oldest national park.
