Students discover how local plants, animals and materials were used in traditional culture and develop knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Peoples, histories, cultures and experiences.

Depending on the season hands on activities may include rope making from tree fibres, baskets from local grasses or reeds and stone tool making.

Aboriginal people have walked this earth for thousands of years and continue to have a strong connection and custodianship responsibilities for this country. Traditional practices, dreaming stories and spiritual beliefs play an important part in modern day life.
