Getting there and parking

Jacobs River campground is in the southern (Lower Snowy) precinct of Kosciuszko National Park. To get there from Snowy Region Visitor Centre:

  • Drive 1.5km along Kosciuszko Road
  • Turn left onto Barry Way and drive 51.7km south
  • Turn left at Jacob’s River campground access track

Parking

The campground doesn't have a formal carpark, but you can park on the hard-packed ground loop road that leads to the campground.

  • Water is not available at this campground.
  • Rubbish bins are not available – please take rubbish with you when leaving.

Toilets

There's an accessible non-flush toilet at the campground that you can reach by crossing over hard-packed ground. The toilet block is set on a concrete slab, with a small lip from the ground onto the concrete.

Picnic tables

There are accessible picnic tables throughout the campground set directly into the ground and a picnic shelter that's set on a concrete slab. You'll need to cross over grass and hard-packed ground to reach the tables and shelter.

The campground is mostly flat with step-free access, but there are no pathways. You'll need to cross over hard-packed ground and grass to reach the campground's facilities.

If you'd like to reach the river, you'll need to navigate down a sloping riverbank. People with reduced mobility may need assistance in this area.

Drones

Firewood is not provided and may not be collected from the park.
