Getting there and parking

Pebbly Beach campground is in the southern part of Yuraygir National Park.

Access to this campground includes a combination of unsealed road, dune track, beach and Saltwater Creek crossing and is suitable for only high clearance 4WDs and only at low tide.

To get there:

  • From Pacific Highway, take the Barcoongere Way turn-off approximately 45km south of Grafton, or 42km north of Coffs Harbour.
  • Continue for around 13km to the park entrance and then follow the signs to the campground.

McPhillips Road is not recommended for any vehicles due to severe road damage.

Access to this campground includes a combination of unsealed road, dune track, beach and Saltwater Creek crossing and is suitable for only high clearance 4WDs and only at low tide.

Access to this campground is dependent on Clarence Valley Council (CVC) and Forestry Corporation road infrastructure.

Driving and access

This remote campground can be tricky to get to. Make sure you come well prepared and your 4WD vehicle is ready for sand driving and water crossing. You can only cross Station Creek in a high clearance 4WD at low tide.
